ZZ Top drummer Frank Beard leaves tour to address ‘health issue’

ZZ Top Drummer Frank Beard is on leave due to an upcoming medical procedure.

On Sunday, band officials Instagram Account The beard, 75, is announced to leave their elevation journey, inclined toward “health issues.”

“The management of ZZ Top, a residential music group, announced that the band’s drummer, Mr. Frank Beard, has temporarily left the current tour and participated in a health issue that needs to be focused in the short term,” the news read.

“Beard, along with top ZZ members Billy F Gibbons and Elwood Francis, are currently on the Elevation Tour since March 5, engaged to Texan and longtime technical member, percussionist and drummer John Douglas.”

This is not the first time that health issues affect the band and its members.
