Just as Russian and U.S. officials prepare to talk about a 30-day ceasefire proposal, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Russian president Vladimir Putin Hope to prolong the war.
“Putin is afraid to tell President Trump directly that he wants to continue the war and continue to kill Ukrainians.” Zelenskyy wrote In an article on X. “That’s why in Moscow, they revolve around the idea of a ceasefire with such prerequisites that it would fail or drag out as long as possible.”

Trump “hopes” Putin agrees to a ceasefire because Moscow has not yet ceased

Zelenskyy added: “As we have been saying, the only stagnation, the only one without construction is Russia. They need this war. Putin has stolen the time of peace and continue this war day after day.”
Now, Zelenskyy said it is necessary to push Putin to a deal and end the bloody Three Years’ War. President Donald Trump Telling reporters that he wants peace, not sanctions, he acknowledged that the United States could take economic measures that are “very harmful to Russia.”
“Finally speaking, yes, we can do things, it’s very harmful to Russia,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office Thursday during a meeting with NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte. “But I don’t want to do that because I want to see peace.”

Putin thanks Trump for his ceasefire principle, but said it was
Putin said on Thursday that he agreed to the U.S. “principle” plan for a 30-day ceasefire, but showed that Russia will not sign the agreement in its current form. As long as Russia proposes the plan, Ukraine agrees to it after meeting with U.S. officials in Saudi Arabia.

Trump said Thursday that if Russia does not come to the table and agrees to a ceasefire: “It will be a very disappointing moment for the world.” The president vowed throughout the campaign to end the Russian-Ukrainian war and said that if he continues to serve in 2020, it is the Russian war invasion of Ukraine in 2021, that will not begin.
