Lowkick Games today announced that its first year of Web3 MMORPG WorldShards generated more than $6.2 million in market sales. According to the developers, it did this through a strategic partnership with Web3 gaming platform Open Loot, which took place in February 2023. Lowkick also claims to have achieved these sales without marketing.
WorldShards is an open-world Sandbox MMORPG set in Murray, after the in-game narrative, provides a “Levelless” progressive system, as well as a built-in system for collection and NFTS to “enhance the player experience in the game.”
The game made its first NFT sale a year ago, generating $179,000 from Access Keys. Since then, Lowkick Games said the game has sold about $5.2 million in NFT sales and has earned $1.1 million in premium currency.
