Kerley won a bronze medal in Paris at 100 meters in the summer, while teammate Noah Lyles won his first Olympic gold medal and a silver medal at the Tokyo Olympics. He also won the World Championships in the 4x400m relay in 2019 and the 4x100m relay in 2023.
The legal troubles for sprinters can be traced back to last year. Kerley and his wife were having a verbal and physical dispute on her birthday on May 6, 2024, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by Fox News Digital in January.
Kerley actively approached his wife, who beat him out of fear, the affidavit said. Kerley then “catched the victim, pushed her to the ground, surrounding her neck, hindering her breathing.” The possible cause alerts were then entered into the prison’s system and were charged after being arrested in January.
In May, Denia Beach police arrived at a hotel in South Florida before 8 a.m. ET, and the Olympics Alaysha Johnson claimed Kerley hit her while she was dating. Klee reportedly said he was “going to F — everyone here”. Johnson said. Kerley allegedly hit Johnson in the face, causing her nose to bleed. Police reportedly said the injury “consistent with her statement.”
Kerley is scheduled for Saturday’s 100m sprint and Sunday’s 200m ritual at the Grand Slam track race on the weekend of the alleged incident. The event later confirmed that Klee would not compete. Kerley was booked for a first-degree misdemeanor.

The enhanced game will be held in Las Vegas next May. Former Olympic swimmer James Magnussen will compete in the competition, offering up to $1 million in rewards.
