The team quickly gave up the slogan, apologizing for it, and even thanking those who opposed it.
“We fully acknowledge that the content of this event does not reflect the safe and enthusiastic environment we strive to create for all, and we apologize to the LGBTQ+ community and the trans community, especially the harm we have caused,” the statement said.
Another statement said: “Thank you to all who have put us in charge by calling on us to do better. We hear you and we will be together.”

Now, the Boston-based women’s football team is removing all brand traces announced in October and opting to change its proposed name.
“The club is sincere and sincere to our supporters and we cherish their passionate voices – not only for unwavering support, but for honesty and critical feedback,” Majority owner Jennifer Epstein said in a statement.
“We can’t complete this process without your opinion. Our goal is to build a lasting legacy that will make all our fans feel at home, connect and proudly wear our colors and cheer on generations of names.”
The issue with trans sports proved to be one of the most controversial political topics last fall and early 2025, as the situation involving trans athletes has sparked multiple lawsuits and federal investigations in the past six months alone.
