WNBA Champion Natasha Cloud Targeting new fans of the sport, they criticized last season’s foul on Caitlin Clark.
In an interview with Ryan Clark’s “Pivot Podcast”, Cloud shocked the WNBA debate last year, when several illegal defeats of Clark drew outrage from many fans.
Yun said she suffered early in her career, insisting that the anger on behalf of Clark was rooted in “racism.”

“It’s blown up, ‘Oh, they’re following Caitlin Clark.’ But no, we’re just playing one of the best players in this league like any other best player or franchise,” Yun said.
Earlier in the interview, Cloud addressed the increase in WNBA fans and suggested that their interest did not stem from fanaticism.

“The madness that the new fanatics brings comes from something other than fanatic, and I think it’s obvious overall,” Yun said. “In a lot of ways, it’s not about basketball.”
Cloud isn’t the first WNBA player or former player to hint at some of Clark’s followers.

Reese said in the first episode of the podcast: “There is a lot of racism about the motivations of Clark fans. However, not all famous women’s basketball players are disdainful of Clark’s contenders to the sport.

Asked if she wanted the sport’s controversial new fans to cheer her on, Watkins replied, “Oh, yes. I love supporters, and I love haters, too.
“I think it’s just part of the game. It has a lot of aspects. So it’s the essence of the game, there are always negative and positive aspects.”
