In the 2026 main election year, a new mayor took over Gotham on January 1, with some candidates peddling Carl Marx from Sacramento to Minneapolis to New York. The most obvious example is Zohran Mamdanihe promised countless freebies and called for “seizing means of production.”

It is the “popularity” of the two senses of words. This is Popular Because it is novel and exciting because it is shallow. This is Populist With familiar disguise, it requires cost-free satisfaction and unpaid attacks on the status quo.

Below “pop” is a dangerous ideology. Call it Marxism, socialism or communism – their goals are the same result. Marx and his disciples foresaw the “inevitable” future, promising that democratic capitalism would give way to statistical socialism, and then mature communism.

The first problem is fragile, ideologically driven history education. Every year, many high school classrooms rarely participate in World War II. The exhausted teacher then skips the Cold War, the sin of communism, the heroic story of resistance, and the vigilance of Western democracies, ending school terms with their preferred version of “current events”, such as the heroism of alleged ecoterrorists.

It’s a great irony: these young people have both anti-institutional perspectives and a serious sense of entitlement. They requested Revolution to the company and slow government agencies, but require funding for the First World Lifestyle. They want no job and safety and no responsibility. After all, equality doesn’t mean free health care, free college, free transportation and guaranteed income?
Again, what did we teach them? What they learned from the co-lockdown is that money rolls out from the state’s printing press, citizens can pay for the lounge at home, and past grades “earning” are just for appearing on Zoom.
Losing most young Americans popular Marxism is not only unacceptable, but dangerous. The leaders of popular Marxism are crazy political, and their young followers may fall into the destructive idealism of the moment.

By contrast, today’s silent young people have much less politics, focusing on earning education, building families and paying responsibly themselves.
2026 is Election Year And the 250th anniversary of our nation’s birth, it is an appropriate time to thank us for our blessings, tell the truth about American history, favor our principle of establishing orderly freedom, and face the lies of communism.
