Fox News figures were told that U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer introduced the administration’s strategy to the House Republican staff Wednesday night.
Greer opened the call, stressing that Trump has ushered in a magnitude of economic change since the post-World War II era.
He also said the United States has been subjected to decades of unfair trade practices since lowering tariffs on other countries to strengthen global trade.

Greer, who quoted Capitol Hill aides, includes Brazil and the EU, also stressed that foreign products that have been fined by the United States will be exempted rather than double taxes.
Although the Office of Political Communications often coordinates messaging calls on important issues, sources familiar with the matter told Fox News Digital that it was the first such communication policy call between the White House and House Republican staff.
As the White House is committed to ensuring Republicans are locked in messaging, it highlights the importance of tariffs on the Trump administration’s policy platform.
When Fox News Digital approached Fox News Digital, White House officials stressed that the Trump administration is the most transparent in history and that the president wants to make sure his allies have the latest information.
While the vast majority of Republicans praised Trump’s move, some Republican lawmakers at least admitted at least some concerns.
R-Neb. Rep. Don Bacon told Fox News Digital Wednesday night. “I think the same tariffs as they charge. We want a level playing field.” “The car can be messy because these parts are all from all over the place.”
Meanwhile, R-Maine. Senator Susan Collins spoke in support of the Democratic bid, demanding that Canada be exempt from taxes on the Senate floor hours before Trump officially announced the announcement.
