Golden State Warriors Head coach Steve Kerr calls on NBA officials to whistle a trip, one of the most basic rules violations in basketball.
Kerr, 59, was evaluated for technical foul in the third quarter of the Warriors’ 119-101 defeat Charlotte Hornet Monday, after he thought it was a clear trip.
“I don’t understand why we don’t teach our officials to call this league’s trip,” Kerr told reporters after the game. “They did a great job, worked hard and communicated well, but I saw five to six games that weren’t called.

“When I was watching a movie, there were a hundred fans in the stands and every coach on the sidelines, you know that’s a problem (the call sends out a signal). Everyone saw it, so we obviously aren’t looking at the league as an official.”
Kerr assembled his team and said he saw the Warriors commit four travel violations that did not lose their losses Philadelphia 76 people Saturday.

Kerr said changes to violations need to be “for the benefit of the game.”
“The whole game is based on footwork,” Kerr said. “We need to enforce travel violations and we don’t. I don’t understand why. … These (officials) are great. They do a great job, they have a million things to watch, but footwork is the whole foundation of the game and we need to call the trip. If we clean it up, it would be a better game.”
