Homeless man fatally shot in Venice Beach after reportedly intervening during couple’s argument

A man was fatally shot Venice Police said the beach said Wednesday night.

Officer Rosario Cervantes said the Los Angeles Police Department reported that a man was shot dead in the 1200 block of Pacific Avenue near Westminster Dog Park.

The victim saw a couple trying to intervene when they were shot. KCAL-TV.

“He tried to protect all of us,” Emily Trujillo, an eyewitness, told the station. The victim was reportedly a well-known homeless person in the area.

The officer arrived and found a man with fatal gunshot wounds, but no gunman was found. No one was arrested and the police were still looking for the shooter.
