The Second Lady’s Office announces Usha Vance meeting on Sunday Go to Greenland Vice President JD Vance, working with her son and the U.S. delegation, announced Tuesday that he will join her trip abroad.
President Donald Trump has been floating around the U.S. acquisition of Greenland. The island is part of the Denmark sector and has its own local government Denmark’s website.
“Looking forward to visiting Greenland on Friday!” Vance said in a tweet on Tuesday, which also included the American flag emoji.

Vance says In a video, “This Friday, Usha was so excited about her visit to Greenland that I decided I didn’t want her to have this fun on her own,” he noted that he would “join her.”
The vice president said he would visit the guardian of the space force and “what happened with security checks in Greenland.”
“We want to speak to President Trump, and we want to revitalize the security of the people of Greenland because we think it is important to protect the security of the entire world,” he said.

The Vice President’s Office press release shows that the Vice President and Second Lady “We will be heading to Pituffik Space Base in Greenland to receive briefings on Arctic security issues and meet with our Servicembers.”
Release points out that the base is the “northmost device” of the Ministry of Defense.
“The visit of the Vice President and the Second Lady to Pituffik Space Base will replace the second Lady’s previous announcement of visits to Avannaata Qimussersu at Sisimiut,” the press release said.
“The strategic partnership between the United States and Greenland has long played a crucial role in our national and economic security. During World War II, the United States established more than a dozen military bases in Greenland to defend the North Atlantic to avoid Nazi aggression. During the Cold War, the United States provided Greenland with more resources to defend Greenland to prevent Soviet launches and attacks against the Soviet Union, releasing the statement.”
“In the decades since then, the neglect and inaction of the Danish leaders and the U.S. government in the past has provided an opportunity for opponents to raise their priorities in Greenland and the Arctic. President Trump is rightly changing the course.”
