back Successful Kickstarter campaignValerion officially announced its new premium projector, The VisionMaster Max, IFA 2025. The Boxy Little Projector provides improved contrast and brightness, but the most interesting feature for home theater enthusiasts is how to solve the problem “Rainbow Effect” It’s common in some cheap projectors.
Cheap DLP projectors sometimes show a stuttering of color when the projector’s color wheel is forced to move rapidly between colors in a fast-paced scene. While these don’t necessarily hinder watching movies or TV shows, the rainbow effect can bother sensitive projector owners. VisionMaster Max tries to solve this problem with what Valerion calls “anti-RBE technology”, which reduces the rainbow effect by 99.9%. The company does this by using software to blend a single color sequence of whatever you watch to the speed perceived by the human eye, creating something that looks like a seamless image.
Valerion said the VisionMaster Max also has a 5,000:1 upgraded native contrast, and AI-assisted “Enhanced Black Level (EBL)” contrast is 50,000:1 to improve depth and detail in shadows. Valerion’s famous name is “Noirscene Dark Field Engine System”, which allows fixed iris apertures and EBL algorithms to stabilize brightness to provide darker blacks with less demand for calibration. Combined with VisionMaster Max’s up to 3500 brightnesses, it makes the projector more useful during the day or night.
The VisionMaster Max also carries an adjustable lens system from some other Valerion projectors, supports Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6e, and runs Google TV. Despite preferring Google’s home theater operating system, Valerion guarantees you can fully integrate VisionMaster Max with Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Control4, and Crestron Smart Home Systems.
If this sounds good, make sure you are willing to pay for the premium experience. Valerion said the VisionMaster Max will be available in October 2025 and will start at $4,999.
