The acting head of the United States International Development Agency (USAID) told Member of Congress His staff were preparing potential criminal referrals for those who abused taxpayer funds used in foreign development programs on Wednesday.
The New York Times said Peter Marocco spoke while speaking with members of the House Foreign Affairs Committee at a closed-door meeting.
Internal review is in its early stages, but members of the Marocco team believe they have found an illegal activity model in the agency, a major component of the U.S. use to provide foreign aid.

Marocco was demolished by President Donald Trump, the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) mission and told lawmakers that he was studying the contracts and grants grants granted by the agency.
