Hurras al-din, senior military leader of al-Qaeda terrorist group US Central Command (CENTCOM) Force, according to the press release.
Muhammed Yusuf Ziya Talay was killed in an air strike, which Centcom said was part of its efforts to “destroy and degrade” terrorist plans to harm the U.S. and its allies civilians or military personnel.

“As we have said in the past, we will continue to pursue these terrorists relentlessly to defend our homeland, ours, our alliances and our partners’ people,” General Michael Erik Kurilla, commander of the U.S. Central Command, said in a press release.
The announcement comes after Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth Donald Trump Relaxed restrictions on U.S. commanders authorized air strikes and raids. Hegseth posted a link to the report on Friday morning titled “Correct.”

Since January, Centcom has eliminated several senior Hurras al-Din leaders.
On January 30, CentCom announced the killing of senior Hurras al-Din agent Muhammad Salah al-Za’bir with similar precision Syrian air strikes. In a press release announcing the strike, General Curilla vowed that “Centcom will continue to hunt, kill or capture terrorists.”

CENTCOM also killed an unnamed operator, a senior financial and logistics officer at Hurras al-Din on February 16. Additionally, on February 22, CENTCOM said it killed Wasim Tahsin Bayraqdar, who they described as “Senior Leadership Coordinator” for Hurras al-Din.
After the strike in mid-February, President Trump congratulated Centcom and General Kurilla, saying they “threatened to another jihad against the United States and our allies and allies.”
