Air Force announces new unmanned fighter jets will be ‘ready to fly this summer’

this US Air Force Two unmanned fighters were designed – for the first time – the historic plane will be ready to fly this summer.

US Air Force Chief of Staff David Allvin will make an exciting announcement Monday at the Air and Space Association War Symposium.

The YFQ-42A (General Atom) and YFQ-44A (Anduril) will belong to the mission design series in the Air Force Cooperative Combat Aircraft Program.

“Now we have two prototypes of cooperative fighters,” Alvin said. “They were on paper only less than a few years ago and they will be ready to fly this summer.”

Alvin said the historic plane made the world aware that the United States is “inclined toward a new chapter in air war” and develops capabilities with a “Mission First” mentality.
