The Husky ended their family schedule Monday at the Gampel Pavilion in Stols, Connecticut. The team then had to fly to Spokane, Washington, for the next round. If the team wins in the Spokane area, it will fly to Tampa.
Due to the number of teams, Auriemma said his team will have to wake up at 5 a.m. local time and shoot for a half hour at 7:30 p.m.
Auriemma’s squad was used to strange travel situations.
Last year, the team went from Storrs to the final four in Portland, Oregon, and then the Cleveland Women’s Final Four. In 2023, the team moved from Storrs to Seattle and then lost in the regional semifinals.
