Deputies said they were sent to Spanaway’s Home It was reported that 30 to 40 teenagers were running and screaming at family gatherings before 12:30 a.m. Saturday.
Officials said multiple callers reported a fight broke out in the street and fired the gun before the deputies arrived.

The chaos ensued as deputies described the people who fled the party on foot while others fled the vehicles trapped nearby.
Deputies found a male victim on the street and tried life-saving measures, but were pronounced dead in that place. Officials said the other five victims transported themselves to the hospital.
“We were later told that a man was injured in the hospital,” deputies said in the latest news on the department’s Facebook page.

The other four victims were still in hospitals with severe injuries but were expected to recover, deputies added. The victims are from 16 to 21 years old.
During the continued investigation, the identity of the victim and suspect has not been released.

The street was initially closed for investigation and reopened Saturday morning nearly eight hours after the shooting. Nearby houses and vehicles are Damaged by gunfire, Deputies said he found several shells.
