Two teen boys arrested after gun-related lockdown at Montgomery County, Maryland, high school

this Montgomery County Police Department Two boys were arrested Thursday at Northwood High School in Rockville, Maryland, after a gun-related lockdown.

this Police Department No one of the 15-year-old student suspects was named, one of whom faced charges of possessing dangerous weapons on campus. Both boys face charges of sabotage operations, police said in a press release on Thursday.

Police say Montgomery County Public Schools place Northwood in a “safe” position.

Northwood High School principal Jonathan Garrick told the school family in a message, according to Bethesda magazine.

Police said before officers left Northwood, police said another person with a gun came in around 12:21 p.m.

Northwood administrator and Montgomery County Police Department Community engagement officials found two suspects in a room. Gun magazines are visible on the table, and the officers found a BB gun on one of the suspects, and the gun of another was 9mm in the pocket of another suspect.

Police took the two teenagers to a local station, and the two suspects were later released to their guardians.
