Twitch announced this week that it has Color ribbon Integrate the latter’s sponsorship platform directly into its streaming dashboard. This new move makes it easier for sponsors to provide Twitch creators and provides guaranteed basic salary and performance incentives for sponsors provided through playback. This is part of Twitch’s bigger move, aiming to provide more monetization opportunities for all streamers than just streamers with the largest audience.
To make it easier for creators, Twitch launches a new sponsorship tab on its dashboard that includes a creator profile for creators to describe themselves to potential sponsors. According to Twitch, this profile will not only help creators attract sponsors who are aligned with their values and brands, but will eventually be available on Twitch. Players can view opportunities in the Sponsored tab and collect their spending.
Play is Twitch’s first partner in this program. According to the company, it features the same functionality as sponsorship now, but the partnership improves discoverability for average Twitch creators. To work with its sponsors, users must play themselves, which reveals potential spending on sponsorship and performance incentives through community participation. Currently, this feature is available for 10,000 Twitch Partners and is planned to be launched to more users throughout the year.
“Twitch grows with its streamers in building a community and success, and sponsorship is key to this growth. Through the creators’ profiles and our new partnership with broadcasts, creators can now easily showcase their channels and connect with relevant sponsor campaigns. By integrating these tools into the Twitch dashboard, we are streamlining the process of ensuring brand transactions and helping streamers increase revenue.”
