First on Fox: this Trump administration As part of its Department of General Government Efficiency (DOGE), millions of dollars in DEI grants are being cut from libraries and museum systems to expel the government from eliminating waste, fraud and abuse.
The administration cut $15 million from the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) in the form of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) grants, which the agency said aims to eliminate the federal government’s DOGE and President Donald Trump’s execution orders.
Grants include $6.7 million to California State Library to enhance the equity library program and increase $4 million to the library Washington State Library for diversified employee development and incarceration support.
The Connecticut State Library System has also provided $1.5 million in DEI grants to “integrate social justice, diversity, equity, and inclusion into their daily operations, and also with $700,000 to a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization to study “pandemic DEI practices” at the Children’s Museum of America’s “Strategies for Enhancement Equity.”

Additionally, a DEI grant from Queens College in New York will receive $265,000 for research projects to understand that “Bipoc” teenagers will cut Japanese comic books with $250,000 to fund “Gay Ohio History Intiative” to build 10 “LGBTQ+History Tags.”
“In line with the president’s vision of executing the order, we are taking action to end taxpayers’ funding for discriminatory DEI initiatives in museums and libraries in our country,” Acting IMLS Director Keith Sonderling said in a statement to Fox News Digital in a statement.
