President Donald Trump New York City Democratic Mayor Zohran Mamdani was shocked by the main recognition of the New York City Democratic mayoral candidate this weekend.
Hours of Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul Supported MamdaniTrump went to social media earlier Monday to make endorse a lot of thumbs. The president suggests federal funds for the most populous cities in the United States may be at risk.
The president wrote on his truth social platform: “NYC Governor Kathy Hochul endorsed the ‘Liddle’ Communist Party’ Zohran Mamdani, running for mayor of New York. It was a pretty shocking development and a very bad development for New York City. ”
Mamdani, a 33-year-old Democratic Socialist State Councilor from Queens, New York City, shocked the political world in June, convincingly defeating former Governor Andrew Cuomo and nine other candidates to seize the Democratic nomination for Occupy Democratic mayor in the nation’s most popular cities.
Trump reveals Mamdani’s new nickname

After Mamdani’s main victory, Trump immediately criticized him as “100% Communist lunatic.”
In the following months, the president continued to repeatedly mock Mamdani as a communist, while warning that New York City If Mandani wins the mayoral election in November, he will become a “communist city.”
“I call him my little communist. He is my little communist mayor,” Trump said in an interview with the extension studio on Fox News on Friday. “Fox and friends. ”
Trump also hinted in his social media post that if Mamdani wins the mayoral election in November, it will limit federal funds for New York City.
“How could such a thing happen? Washington will watch this very close. There is no reason to send good money after it’s bad!” said the president.
Poll Position: How big is Mamdani leading the way in the New York Mayoral Competition?
Mamdani proposed to cancel fares on New York City’s sprawling bus system, making CUNY (City University of New York City) “free tuition”, free rent on municipal housing, provide “free parenting” for children over 5 years old, and establish a government-run grocery store.
But Mamdani, born in Uganda, would become New York City’s first Muslim and first millennial mayor if elected, denied being a Communist.
Hochul, in her approvalwrote: “There should be a mayor in New York City who will stand on Donald Trump to make life more affordable for New Yorkers. That’s @zohrankmamdani.”

The governor’s recognition was nearly three months after Mamdani’s main victory, which was significant. This may help Mamdani ensure support from other key members of the party body. And, that could put more pressure on two other top Democrats in New York State who are still retaining their support for Mandani – Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, the first two Democratic leaders in Congress.
Mamdani said in a statement that he “thanks to the governor for unifying our party’s support – and the work she has done to stand with President Trump to get free lunch meals for our children and expand access to parenting.”
Cuomo shaking to defeat Mamdani
Mamdani is a clear leader in the latest polls in the latest polls for the mayors in the city’s main city’s Mayor race.

Curtis Sliwa, co-founder of The Guardian Angel, is the second consecutive election as a Republican mayoral candidate for the Democratic-dominated city, and is a distant third in the polls Eric AdamsHe dropped in fourth place after deciding to skip the Democratic primary election for anemia poll.
Both Sliwa and Sliwa and Adams have repeatedly promised to compete in recent weeks, as multiple reports say Trump’s advisers have played executive positions while both mayors dropped out of school.

Sunday, a spokesman for the mayor was fired after a new report said Adams would withdraw in the coming days.
“Let me be very clear: any rumors or tweets suggest that Mayor Adams is resigning, and it is the full Bull —,” spokesman Todd Shapiro wrote in a statement. “These lies are spread by desperate opponents who cannot match the mayor’s record, his campaign energy or his support in the city.”
