Trump taps personal lawyer for top role at DOJ

President Donald Trump He has installed his personal attorney, Alina Habba, as a temporary U.S. attorney for the New Jersey area, the latest attorney to his former Trump lawyer in a senior position with the Justice Department.

Trump said on Monday’s truth social that he had used his current White House lawyer Habba to replace incoming U.S. lawyer John Giordano, who said he would serve as U.S. ambassador to Namibia.

Trump announced the two promotions on social media on Monday.
