Trump slams MSNBC as a ‘threat to democracy’ in wake of NBCUniversal’s lawsuit settlement

These comments by Trump were in the battle between the president and multiple other news outlets.

The settlement comes weeks after a Florida jury discovered that CNN caused slander and was responsible for punitive damages against U.S. Navy veteran Zachary Young.

A six-person jury found Young awarded $4 million in lost income and $1 million in personal damages such as pain and pain, and said punitive damages were necessary to CNN. As the jury was preparing to determine punitive damages, 14th Judicial Circuit Judge William S. Henry announced that Young and CNN reached a settlement agreement to award money to Navy veterans.
