President Donald Trump Signed an Executive Order on Friday Aimed and gutting the parent of US Government-Funded Media Outlet Voice of America and Six Other Federal Agencies, his administration’s latest step to shrink bureaucracy.
The order is taught agencies – mostly known entities including one who gives funds for museums and libraries and one facing their operations at the Law Minimum.
“This command continues to decrease the elements of the federal bureaucracy that the President is determined not necessary,” The command, exposed. Trump, who mixed the voice of America in his first term, chose former News Anchor Lake to be its director for his second. The lake, an ally ally of the President, often accused of mainstream media to catch anti-Trump bias.
VOA, an international media broadcaster operating over 40 languages online and radio and television, the US agency’s yorsiy for global media. Agency also funded free Liberty on Radio / Radio Liberty Asia.
In addition to the agency for global media, Trump’s order also targets the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars, the US Interagency Council on Homelessness, and the Minority Business Development Agency for Cuts.
The order said that agencies should eliminate all operations that cannot be codified by law as well as “reduce associates with their statutory functions and associated staff in the least presence of law.” The order represents Trump’s latest steps to provide the federal bureaucracy, a task that he placed many in the hands of Tech Billion Elon Musk and his Department of Government Effectiancy. To date, the DUE’s efforts make potential cuts over 100,000 jobs across 2.3 million federal civilian member, and cancellation of thousands of programs and contracts.
Some of the Republicans accused VOA and other public-funded outlets that choose conservatives. In the last month, Musk calls for VOA and Radio Free Liberty in Europe / Radio to shut down a post on his X Social Platform.
In a language of Council’s political conservation, Lake said that as he understood the calls to break the VOA, he believed it could improve.
