President Donald Trump reiterated his arguments about the U.S. taking over Greenland on Wednesday, just before Vice President JD Vance prepares to visit the island.
Trump said his administration must “let them know that we need Greenland to be safe and secure for international security. We need it. We have to have it.” Vance and His wife, Usha Vance, will visit the island-based U.S. space facilities.
“It is [an] What we need is an island with defensive postures or even offensive postures. …It’s a busy place when you look at hundreds of people along the boats along the shore. ” he said in an interview with radio host Vince Coglianes.
Trump continued to say he is not sure whether the Greenland people want to be American citizens, but he thinks it is important to “convince them.”

“We have to own this land because without it, it is impossible to defend much of the planet correctly. So we have to own it, and I think we will have it.”

Vice President says he will visit Space power On Friday, the guardians of Pituffik Space Base “with Greenland’s Security” conducted a “check on what”.
The base is the “northmost device” of the Ministry of Defense, a press release from the Vance office said.

Trump remains optimistic about the chances of getting Greenland: “I think this will happen”
“The strategic partnership between the United States and Greenland has long played a crucial role in our national and economic security. During World War II, the United States established twelve military bases in Greenland to defend the North Atlantic to avoid Nazi invasion. During the Cold War, the United States provided Greenland with more resources to prevent Greenland from resisting the Soviet Union in the Soviet Union, declared.”
