US Middle East envoy Steve Witkoff said on Sunday that President Donald Trump may talk to Russians President Vladimir Putin This week.
When appearing on CNN’s “Alliance State”, ask Witkoff when he can expect to end the Ukrainian war deal.
“The president uses the schedule week and I don’t agree with him. I really hope we can see some real progress here,” Vickov said. “No one expects this fast. It’s a high, very complex situation, but we’re bridging the gap between the two sides. So, a lot of things are to be discussed, but I think the two presidents will have a very good and positive discussion this week.”

Trump’s envoy met Putin in Moscow On Thursday, a few days after U.S. and Ukrainian officials in Saudi Arabia agreed to the terms of a ceasefire with Russia.
Vykov said he met Putin for three to four hours and had a “positive” and “solution-based” discussion.
“Before this visit, there was a visit, before the visit, the two sides separated miles apart,” Witkoff told CNN host Jake Tapper. “Today, the two sides are closer. We have some Real positive results Saudi Arabia discussions hosted by our National Security Advisor Mike Waltz and our Secretary of State Marco Rubio. ”
“I put my conversation with President Putin as positive,” said Vidok. “There are both sides…we have narrowed the difference between them and now we are sitting at the table. Yesterday I was with him all day, I was with him today, we sat with him, and we were sitting with him, discussing how to narrow the scope further.”

Trump “hopes” Putin agrees to a ceasefire because Moscow has not yet ceased
This is Witkoff’s second meeting with Putin last month. The first to sit down in mid-February, the Russians released American prisoner Marc Fogel.
Vickov says he’s preaching to Trump Vice President JD Vance, Chiefs of Staff Susie Wiles and Waltz came from the U.S. Embassy within five to 10 minutes of meeting Putin last week.

“President Trump is involved in all aspects and dimensions of these discussions,” Vickov said. “The president is getting updates on what is going on in real time, and he is involved in every important decision here. I hope to call both presidents this week and we will continue to communicate with the Ukrainians. We advise them in everything we think.”
“The four regions here are crucial,” Vedov said of the terms of the deal. “And we are having a discussion with Ukraine, we are having a discussion with all these stakeholders European countries, so including France, the United Kingdom, Norway, Finland… the whole host. … We are also talking with the Russians about these regions. We are also talking with all other elements, which are included in the ceasefire.”

Witkoff flew to Moscow from Doha, Qatar last week, where he mediated negotiations between Israel and Hamas to extend its ceasefire agreement.
