Portrait of the President Donald Trump Officials said Monday that he claimed he was “intentionally twisted” to be removed from the Colorado Capitol.

House Democrats said in a statement that oil paintings painted by artist Sarah Boardman in Trump’s first semester will be revoked at the request of Republican leaders in the Denver Legislature.

“The Republicans want to spend time and money hanging on Trump’s portrait on the Capitol, it’s up to them,” Democrats said.

The portrait was unveiled in 2019. State Republicans More than $11,000 was raised through the GoFundMe account to commission the painting.

Trump criticized the painting in Sunday’s Truth Society post.

“No one likes his own photos or paintings, but the one in the Colorado State Capitol and all other presidents have been deliberately twisted to a level I might have never seen before,” he wrote.

Trump calls on Colorado Gov. Jared Polis to cancel the painting.

“Jarded should be ashamed of himself!” he wrote.
