President Donald Trump Utilize airline executive Bryan Bedford to lead the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on Monday.
Bedford has been the CEO of Indiana-based Regional Republic Airlines since 2007. In a Truth Society post on Monday, Trump wrote that he was “happy” to announce Bedford’s nomination as administrator of the FAA.
“As the former president and CEO of Republic Airlines, Mesa Gabriel and Commercial Express, Brian has more than three decades of experience in aviation and executive leadership,” Trump’s post reads.
Bedford will need to be confirmed before the U.S. Senate begins its work with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The president also mentioned Transport Secretary Sean Duffy and noted that Bedford would work with him.

“Brian will work with our great Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy to strongly reform the agency, maintain our exports, and ensure the safety of nearly 1 billion passengers in the year,” Trump’s Post noted. “Congratulations to Brian!”
The latest announcement comes as the Trump administration continues to overhaul the FAA, the news involves Laid off hundreds of workers In February. The agency is under scrutiny after January 29 Potomac River hollow collision 67 people were killed at Reagan National Airport near Washington, DC.

He also appointed a newly appointed Military Academy Committee after Trump announced Bedford.

“Our great U.S. Air Force Academy will soon have an incredible board of visitors, consisting of Doug Nikolai, Dan Clark, Senators Tommy Tuberville, Charlie Kirk and Dina Powell,” Trump wrote.
“I am pleased to announce that the entire board will be made up of Sean Spicer, Walt Nauta, Congressman ‘Doc Ronnie’ Jackson, Congressman Derek Van Order, Sen. Tim Sheehy and Earl Ehrhart,” the president added. “Congratulations everyone!”
Trump also appointed a new member of the U.S. Military Academy of the West Point Visitors Commission.

“Major General David Bellavia, Lieutenant General Dan Wallras, General Michael Flynn, Congressman Wesley Hunter, Maureen Bannon and Megan Mobbs were appointed to the board of directors,” Trump said. “They will make our country proud. Congratulations to everyone!”
In another Monday post, Trump announced that it would be viewed as U.S. liberation day on April 2, “because we will take some huge fortune from us due to many of the weak, incompetent, and even dishonest politicians who have represented us in the past!”
