Months after the war broke out, between Russia and Ukraine, then-President Joe Biden had a fiery private phone call with the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Biden allegedly lost his “temper” and called on Ukraine to “express more gratitude to the United States” for its support.

The tense exchange on the phone was reportedly a few months after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Biden administration officials told NBC at the time that their relationship “has only improved.”

Zelenskyy continued under the war, “Everyone has a problem, even you,” and the United States will feel war in the future.
“Don’t tell us how we feel,” Trump shot Zelenskyy.
Another point during the exchange Trump added: “You are gambling the lives of millions of people.” “You are gambling with World War III. You are gambling with World War III. What you do is very disrespectful to the country of this country.”

Vance interjected, asking Zelenskyy if he “sayed thank you throughout the meeting”. He also added that Zelenskyy “goed to Pennsylvania and ran for the opposition in October” and that he should “provide some appreciation for the United States of America and the president of the United States who are trying to save your country.”
According to the Foreign Relations Commission, Congress has allocated $175 billion since 2022 to provide aid to Ukraine, although the exact currency figures vary on how much the U.S. provides to Ukraine based on what aid is considered.
According to data from German think tanks, the total aid to Ukraine totals approximately US$138.7 billion. Fox Digital contributed $119.7 billion in the same time frame.

Zelenskyy said after a public argument with Trump, saying “Both sides are not good”

“And your people are very brave. But, you either have to make an agreement or we are out. If we are out, you will beat it. I don’t think it’s pretty, but you will work hard. But you don’t have a card. But once we sign the deal, you can do better.
Zelenskyy left the White House soon after. Later in the day, the Trump administration canceled a planned press conference with Zelenskyy, while the planned speech event canceled Ukrainian leaders, and the Washington, DC-based think tank was cancelled.
Zelenskyy did join Bret Baier of Fox News for an exclusive interview Friday night, and he apologized for whether he would apologize to Trump. U.S. leaders, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, called on Zelenskyy to apologize for the Oval Office meeting, but Ukrainian president succumbed to the call in Baier interview, adding that he respects Trump and the United States

“I am very grateful for all the support of Americans. You have done a lot. I am grateful for the bipartisan support of President Trump and Congress,” he replied when asked about the apology. “You have helped us a lot from the start and you helped us survive in the three years of full-scale invasion.”
“No, I respect the president, I respect the American people…I think we have to be very open and very honest, and I’m not sure we’re not doing well,” he added when asked again if he thinks he owes Trump an apology.

Zelenskyy traveled to the UK over the weekend to meet with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, who told local media that he had spoken with Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron, and did his best
European leaders plan to travel to London on Sunday to further discuss peace plans.
