President Donald Trump His speech began ahead of the joint meeting of Congress on Tuesday night.
Trump thanked Congressman and First Lady Melania Trump, “For my fellow countrymen, America is back.”
“Six weeks ago, I stood under the dome of this Capitol and declared the dawn of the American Golden Age,” he said. “From that moment, it was nothing more than a quick and humble action that could usher in the greatest and most successful era in our country’s history. We achieved more than most governments accomplished in four or eight years in 43 days. We’re just getting started.”
In the president’s opening speech, the audience was heard shouting “America, America, America.”
Trump arrived at the podium shortly after 9:15 p.m. Tuesday, and he was cheered by Conservative MPs while the vast majority of Democrats remained seated.
Speech marks the first before Trump Congress Since he returned to the Oval Office in January. Although the address is similar to the union, it has not had an official title with Trump in the past year.

Trump intends to continue his unprecedented action and return to Congress in Week 7
Fox News reported that Trump did not participate in any formal speech preparations, such as consultants directing him how to gesture during his speech – but he was involved in the editorial process of the speech.

Several Democratic members preview them Joint Boycott Trump’s speech Tuesday, including Rep. Don Beyer, D-Va. and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. D-Conn. Senator Chris Murphy also skipped the live speech that attended the speech.

The theme of Trump’s speech to Congress reveals
Democratic Congressional women who saw attending the speech were seen dressed in pink to protest Trump and his policies, especially those they say affecting women.
