President Donald Trump He said on Friday that he would meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping next month in South Korea after a “very productive” call.
The meeting will be held on October 31 and November 1 during the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit. The face-to-face meeting will be the first meeting of the two leaders during Trump’s second term in the White House.
Trump said he also agreed to travel to China in early 2026, and Xi Jinping agreed to “come to the United States at the right time.”
The president said on Friday that he talked with XI about a range of issues, including trade, the Ukrainian war and the ratification of the agreement to sell Tiktok.
