Trump administration seems to all but clear migrants out of Guantanamo Bay


The Trump administration flies to all or almost all of the migrants made by Guantanamo from the facility there and in Honduras learned from three sources of operation and flight data.

In a statement in response to a case on Thursday, the Trump administration says 178 immigrants, from Venezuela, inhabited by early Thursday.

Also Thursday, Honduras’ Foreign Ministry announced that the country has received a flight of said 174 Venezuelan immigrants from the US, to be removed from Honduras to Venezuela.

A senior department of security department said 177 migrants were expelled from Guantanamo Bay on Thursday.

Many immigrants can be sent to Guantanamo at some point. But both sources familiar with this matter say that DHS asked the Department of Defense to look for alternative locations, and that Dod thinks other places like Fort Bliss.
