“It’s time for elite universities to take the issue seriously and commit to meaningful change,” the statement continued. “The Joint Task Force to Fight Anti-Semitism announced a freeze of $2.2 billion in multi-year grants and a freeze for Harvard’s $60 million in multi-year contract value.”
Harvard President Alan M. Garber said that while the Ivy League school may lose federal funds, the school does not comply with the Trump administration’s requirements.

In the letter, Garber said the federal government threatened to establish partnerships with several universities, including Harvard, to accuse anti-Semitism on its campus.
He also noted that the Trump administration has released an updated and expanded list of requirements, saying that schools plan to maintain financial relations with the federal government and must comply.

Specifically, she thanked Harvard and Garber for their leadership in supporting education and freedom through opposing the administration’s “hard attempts to bully schools.”
“We all agree that anti-Semitism has no status in the United States and should fight in the workplace, classrooms and anywhere,” Healy said. “Compliance with the dangerous requirements of the Trump administration will make all of us less safe.”
