After some teasing, Activision reveals Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4. It will release PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on July 11. It will be used for Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass PC subscribers
Pre-orders for the game are available in June for demos, which include Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 and the iconic casting level of the wireframe Tony Shander when launched. Pre-orders for versions of Digital Deluxe and Collector offer early access to the game on July 8. The digital luxury version also offers some goodies in the game, including Doom Slayer and Revenant as playable skaters.
The package includes remakes of levels in both games, but also adds new phases. The trailer on display is displayed in an abandoned water park. Activision is also expected to receive a “more disgusting” soundtrack. The trailer features Motörhead’s “Ace of Spades”, one of the most popular songs from the THPS3 soundtrack.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 stands out in 2020. This is very popular, but Activision doesn’t seem interested in follow-up. Instead, it makes developers alternative vision part of Blizzard.
Since then, Activision and the THPS series are now part of the Xbox. Iron Galaxy is the developer behind the new remake.
