Tom Hanks Only daughter Ea Hanks recalls the complex childhood of her parents’ divorce, who claimed that her mother could be “violent” emotionally and physically.
The abbreviation for EA stands for Elizabeth Anne, who wrote about her experience in her upcoming memoir, 10: Memoirs of Family and Memoirs of Opening the Road. The 42-year-old parents separated after five years of marriage in 1985, and her mother, Susan Dillingham, was described as Hanks’ first “non-famous” wife, was primarily detained.
“Big” actor saw EA and her brother Colin Hanks,47, on weekends and summers, she wrote in the excerpt People Magazine.
EA said she was born in the Los Angeles area, but her mother moved them to Sacramento after she was separated.

“A divorce agreement was finally reached, and I would visit my father and stepmother (my young half-brother) over the weekends and summers, but from 5 to 14, full of confusion, violence, deprivation and love, I am a Sacramento girl,” she wrote. “I live in a White House with pillars, a backyard with a pool and a bedroom with pictures of horses on every wall.”
Dillingham also took the stage under the stage name Samantha Lewes, she said, and he failed to tell his father that she left Los Angeles with the children.
“My father came to school to pick us up, we weren’t there,” people said. “It turns out we haven’t been there for two weeks and he has to track us.”
In Sacramento, EA and Colin were bothered with Dillingham.
“As the years go by, the backyard becomes full of dogs – you can’t walk around, smoke stools.” She wrote, adding that she believes her mother, though not diagnosed, suffered from bipolar disorder and extreme paranoia and delusional plots.
“The refrigerator is often exposed or filled with expired food, and my mother spent more and more time on her four parasitic beds on the Bible.”

Hanks then suddenly became chief custody after the incident.
“One night, her emotional violence turned into physical violence, and in the aftermath, I moved to 7th grade Los Angeles,” she wrote. “My custody arrangements were basically switched – now I live in Los Angeles and visited Sacramento on weekends and summers.”
EA added that in high school, her mother “called and said she was dying.”

Dillingham died of lung cancer in 2002 at the age of 49.
The memoirs focus on a 2019 road trip from Los Angeles to Parlatka, Florida, where Dillingham’s family once lived in an attempt to learn more about her mother. She was inspired by a different road trip with her mom.
“When I was 14, my mother and I drove along Interstate 10 to Florida, in a Winnebago, bent down the asphalt gait and felt sailing.”
The only time she remembered her parents “at the same place” was in Colin and her high school.

“I have a picture of me standing between my parents,” she wrote. “In it, my mother’s best wig is a little skewed.”
Fox News Digital approached Reps to Hanks for comment.
Hanks got married after divorced Dillingham in 1987 Rita Wilson In 1988. They have two sons – Chet, 34, and Truman, 29.
