Jacob said, “Why? I can play PlayStation at home. I’m here to watch Dad.”
The only problem for the Ingles family is that Joe didn’t end up playing that game on Sunday.
Finch heard that Jacob had succeeded through the entire NBA game and hoped to give the Ingles family a chance to see Joe in their last game in Minnesota before they returned to Orlando.
So Finch inserted Joe into the starting lineup to make sure Jacob saw his father play.
“Sometimes you have to do human things. We always talk about the importance of all these minutes, and (ingles’) minutes are important,” Finch said.
He was caught off guard when Finch called Joe into his office and told him what he was starting.

“Are you sure?” Ingles asked.
For the Timberwolves, this game is crucial as they are competing for the most important No. 6 seed to avoid playing in the game.
Sure enough, Ingles started. He was underperformed, hitting 0-3 in just six minutes, but that didn’t matter to the Ingles family.
“Tonight is a milestone night for our family and I just have to share! I don’t usually post too much NBA content, but the moment is too special to be consistent with myself,” Renae posted on Instagram.
