There are three active cases of tuberculosis Maine According to Portland Media Prevention, TB continues to increase this week as it continues to grow nationwide.
Lindsay Hammes, a spokesman for the agency, said it “recognizes three active TB cases, has links to the Greater Portland area, and is undergoing our typical reaction.”
The Maine CDC is working to reach out to anyone who may be in contact with any infected patient, so testing can be done, she said.
Hammes added that each situation appears to shrink from a separate source.
