Texas man calls 911 after injuring himself during alleged car dealership break-in

Attempted to burglary Police said he was frustrated at a Texas auto dealership after a man named 911 reported that he was injured during the break-in.

Taylor Police Department Jeremiah Megallon arrested Jeremiah Megallon after receiving his call, saying he was injured while trying to break into the Patterson Dodge dealer.

Police said the call started at about 3:45 a.m. Thursday at Megalon, who claimed he had just broken into a dealer and needed help.

“He said he had broken into the Patterson Dodge dealership and tried to steal a car but couldn’t leave the building,” public information official Andy Erbaugh told Fox News Digital. “He got out of the window that broke the window at the dealership and climbed through it.”

Erbaugh said Megallon said he was trying to steal a car by throwing a rock into the building by throwing it into the building and cutting himself off.

“Unfortunately for him, he could use it to go out for a few lock-opening doors,” Elber added. “After 26 years here, truth is stranger than novels.”

A staff member told the media that the only thing he could steal was candy from the salesperson’s desk.

Megalon was taken to the hospital and later transported to Smith County Jail, Elber said he was arrested for burglary of the building.

Erbaugh said this wasn’t the first time he had dealt with a suspect in his career and turned himself into a policeman.

“I was a crime against a human detective a few years ago, and one case we took was a 75-year-old retired dentist who called and told us that he shot his wife.”

Erbaugh talks about Dr. Bobby Nichols, who came home in 2012 drinking nights and admitted to shooting his wife, Rosalind Nichols.

“He said, ‘I’m a retired dentist and she won’t stop na [me],” Elbo recalled, “He said, ‘I went out to have beer at Willowbrook Country Club, which is one of our local country clubs and she doesn’t like that.”

Erbaugh recalled Nichols saying, “’I got another one when I got home and she wouldn’t stop, so I took a pistol and I shot her.”

Elber said Nichols was sentenced to 20 years in prison for his wife’s murder.
