TCL’s new smartphone uses the latest version of its eye-comfort screen tech

TCL is showing a new phone IFA 2025. The company is a late entrant of the modern mobile market, trying to pass nxtpaper eye comfort screen technology. The new NXT Paper 60 Ultra is TCL’s first phone with the latest version of the technology, and it first Introduced in Tablets at CES 2025.

The idea behind NXT paper is Electronic paper and OLED Screen, alleviating eye strain without sacrificing color range or refresh rate. Its hardware-level features include blue light filtering, matte glue-proof layer and flicker-free brightness control. One of its neat aspects is the ink mode, which can be switched to ink-like presentation using the press of a dedicated button. TCL said the 2025 edition of display technology (NXTPaper 4.0) brings clearer details, more accurate colors and AI-powered eye comfort mode.

The NXT Paper 60 Ultra is a mid-range Android phone that goes beyond eye-catching features. It has a spacious 7.2-inch display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a resolution of 1080p. It is powered by a Mediatek Dimente 7400 processor and 12GB of RAM. (An extra 12GB is available via virtual RAM.) The phone has a triple camera setup, including 50MP periscope Telephoto sensor. (The camera offers 3x optical zoom and 6x “lossless” zoom via digital scam.) The phone comes with a 5200 mAh battery.

At least for the moment, the NXT Paper 60 Ultra is only available in the European, Latin American and Asian markets. It will be available there later this month, with a storage price of 256GB at €499 and a 512GB at €549.
