Developers with titles such as Supergiant Games (such as Bastion, Transistor, and Hades series) have long been proud of narratively rich game development. The voice actors responded quickly and participated in the ongoing changes and learned about their roles for a long time. That’s why it’s such a shock when one of the voice actors publicly hinted that the developers were re-exaggerating their voices to avoid working with SAG-AFTRA on the strike agreement.
Marin M. Enter social media on Wednesday To encourage fans to email a studio that wants to remain anonymous, it is strongly hinted that it is a super giant, asking them to sign a temporary contract that allows Miller to express his role. Under current SAG-AFTRA rules, studios can work with union talent by signing a temporary contract that includes AI protection, although the strike has not officially ended.
Sag-Aftra is seeking more powerful and permanent protection for AI, both in terms of its use for voice performance and training for existing sound performances. The strike and the protections required for this are focused primarily on video games and have been underway since August. Miller believes that the lack of this temporary contract is why they were not connected to re-work and may have been completely reshaped.
Although I don’t reply directly to Miller, Supergiant makes his own statement on social media Denied that they would reshape any roles, and the studio opposed the use of AI instead of voice actors. In response to game developers Miller has released publicly that they have asked for the flexibility of the super giants to bring them back a few years ago.
Since then, the super giant has not responded publicly, presumably any negotiations between the studio and Miller will be conducted privately. This does remind you that the SAG-AFTRA strike is still in progress and it doesn’t seem to come to a conclusion anytime soon.
