A traveler at the resort Dominican Republic On the same day at the University of Pittsburgh, student Sudiksha Konanki disappeared, claiming that the hotel has no “communication” about beach safety and “a little bit of your own discretion.”
D’Lani Sweeney talks to the news agency as missing 20-year-old is still searching Who will see it last The country’s national police force La Policia Nacional said it entered the beach early Thursday at RIU Republica Resort in Punta Cana early Thursday morning. On Monday, ABC News reported that Konanki may have flooded law enforcement sources.
“I remember the waves are much bigger than usual. I was on the beach with my friends and I remember telling them I wouldn’t go into the ocean because I knew I could swim but it wasn’t good enough to feel safe in the ocean,” Sweeney said. “I know a few friends, but they’ve been a while and there aren’t as many people in the ocean as we usually see.”
“You know, it’s our beach security, make sure it’s our beach security. It’s just your own discretion,” she added. “One night there was a security guard whistling on the beach, but that was the only night I saw it, and I went to the beach to take pictures almost every day and almost every day.”

The video captured by Sweeney shows a red flag posted on the beach warning swimmers of harsh conditions in the water.
Sweeney also told the News Agency that the resort has suffered multiple problems during its recent stays, including prolonged power outages, and she believes that the “100%” of conditions may prompt others like Konanki to spend more time on the beach.
“I know that people who are locked in the room, because the power has been on for hours, and after a few days, customer service can’t help them or regenerate their cards to work in the room, so people sleep in someone else’s room, they sleep in the pool chair, they sleep on the beach, they sleep on the beach, they may stay in the room because neither the room nor the room can be in the room with 80 gegres.
