Major news media including the Associated Press and CNBC have been cheated Howard Stern His show was cancelled on Monday when the radio legend tricked Siriusxm listeners with a well-planned prank.
Stern has long been a tabloid speculation whether he will stay at Siriusxm once his contract expires at the end of this year, originally scheduled to be live on Monday. Instead, Bravo host Andy Cohen sat down and shocked the audience as the radio started.
“It’s not the sound you expect to hear, it’s not the sound you might want to hear, but me, Andy Cohen, this is our first day on the Andy 100. I know you want you to expect Howard’s big announcement, and it’s not actually that kind of thing,” Cohen told the audience. ”
Cohen continued: “Are he fired a lot about what’s going to happen to Howard? I don’t know how much I say, except that he’s not here, I’m in.” “Howard and the executive team at Siriusxm think it’s better to be part of it now.”

Cohen continued for a few minutes, even urging Stern fans to give his plans a chance.
Stern later joined the radio, thanking Cohen for his stunt and saying rumors about his departure from Siriusxm were “completely wrong”. I fooled many media Report Stern’s departure incorrectly.

On CNBC, the “Squawk Box” anchor Andrew Ross Sorkin Rebecca Quick posted “breaking news”.
“This morning, we have some sudden news for you: Howard Stern has officially split from Siriusxm after nearly 20 years,” Sorkin told the audience.
Quickly add: “When Sirius really took off, he was there, that was everything built around them…that made a lot of people really subscribe.”
After a moment, Quick clarified that it was all a prank.
“He used Andy Cohen to take over his slot machine’s gag and capture the audience,” Quick said. “I just want to say, I love this, it’s the best Howard Stern thing he can do.”

The variety show also published a story announcing Stern’s plan, reporting that “Howard Stern ended his Howard Stern’s run 20 years later”.
In recent years, he was shocked to see his influence fading when he embraced liberal politics. Jock did not say whether he renewed his contract with Siriusxm, which will expire at the end of 2025.
