Author Stephen King apologized on Friday to the now-deleted social media post, claiming that he was assassinated conservative activist Charlie Kirk Advocate “kill homosexuals to death.”
“He advocated killing gay people. Just said’,” King posted to X on Thursday.
After a strong rebound online, King deleted the post and apologized.
He wrote: “I apologize for the homosexuality advocated by Charlie Kirk. What he actually proves is how some people pick the passages of the Bible.”

He later said on X: “I was wrong, I apologize. I have deleted the post.” He also criticized his response to others.

“If you agree to Charlie Kirk’s property, Stephen King should be sued for slandering this huge false allegation,” Lee wrote on Thursday. “He crossed a line. It would prove expensive.”
Kirk’s death was encountered in widespread mourning and anger. President Donald Trumphe regarded Kirk as a friend and close political ally, calling him a patriot and a deep faith man.
