MMA Podcaster and combat sports analyst Luke Thomas told CNN reporter Audi Cornwall Democrats did not exist seriously in the combat community on Wednesday and attributed their position to Republicans.
“I mean, through this MMA channel, it’s an important constituency, and it’s an important constituency for you,” Thomas said in an interview. “You can like this fact, you can hate this fact, but it’s reality, and now it’s a big part of the decisive factor for voters.”

Cornwall, responding to UFC commentator clips and Podcaster Joe Rogan Thomas asked Democrats if there was “existence” in the MMA world, saying that Democrats “lost control of the narrative.”
“When you talk about control over narrative, you have to be where people are and talk to that community,” she said. “Does there any left exist in the left in the MMA or combat movement world?”
Thomas replied: “I mean, I’m not a Democrat, but you’re watching.” “I’m like the only representative. I mean, the reality is that the left has little to do with the audience. To me, it’s just my personal observation, they’re stung on them.

Thomas clarified that Democrats don’t need to “agree with everything” with the combat community, but said that taking prominently in combat sports and connecting with young people is a practical political issue.
“But, it’s a very simple question,” Thomas said. “Is this constituency important? Is this part of the voters important? If you want to win the election, I realize that it takes a lot of things to do, and it will require many different weapons from the government to focus on many issues. But their rights and the UFC, they focus on young people, see the results.”
“If Democrats want to be again, I can’t speak for them, but it seems to me that if they want to retake anything, starting with a little bit of self-reflection, why they’re losing the audience at the beginning, and what they can do to get it back, it seems quite important,” Thomas said.
White continues to expand the UFC globally, and recently announced in March that he will bring boxing promotions to Saudi Arabia.
