Some Alexa+ features reportedly won’t arrive for months | TechCrunch

Amazon has fulfilled its promise to launch the upgraded Alexa+’s Alexa experience at the end of March. But the service reportedly lacks many of the features that Amazon demonstrated at a press conference in late February.

Alexa+ Some “agent” AI tasks cannot be performed yet According to the Washington Post, the company’s marketing is shown in the company’s marketing, such as ordering takeaways on GrubHub or entertaining stories for children. Assistants also cannot visually recognize people and remind them to do specific trivia or brainstorm gift ideas, two other features displayed during the press.

Other features are only launched to a certain number of users, such as the ability to order Uber and get cooking advice. Meanwhile, Amazon’s web application announced last month for Alexa+ has no specific release window.

Alexa+ is said to have been plaguing the problem from the beginning, due to the challenges facing infrastructure. Judging from the post’s report, Amazon seems to have not yet emerged from the woods.
