“Saturday Night Live“This weekend, President Donald Trump swept another time, making a bold comparison in the latest Cold Open.
“It’s me, your favorite president, Donald Jesus Trumpcompare yourself to the Son of God again.
The sketch begins with the dramaticization of a biblical scene: Jesus flips tables in a temple, rather than the merchant selling goods. But only a few seconds later, Trump hijacked the scene with his monologue, reviewing the week’s economic headlines with his usual courage.
He said: “Many people call me the Messiah.”
“Because of economically made Mess-Aha.”

He then likens the stock price of the recent roller coaster to resurrection: “Yes, the stock market made a Jesus. It died, and then rose up on the third day. Then on the fourth day, it died again and probably never came back like Jesus.”
Sketches in Trump’s recent tariff decisionThis is what made headlines after being sent out of the market for a while. Earlier this month, the latest round of tariffs came into effect, triggering panic among investors.
A few days later, the White House Most tariffs announced a 90-day pause Trump still imposes tariffs on China despite renegotiation of the trade deal. A temporary pause Stock market briefly improves Before it descends again.

The show didn’t stop there. The sketch also addresses rising inflation, especially the price of eggs, a tribute to Easter tradition and economic concerns.
“We love Easter. We love rabbits. We love searching for eggs, just like everyone is making eggs in the grocery store right now. Because they spend trillions of dollars,” he quipped.
He added: “I think that’s what the whole campaign is about. But I can’t crack it.”
While the real Trump did resolve the price of eggs soaring in a joint speech to Congress last month, he accused President Biden and promised “Make the United States affordable again“SNL’s version questioned not only his economic policies, but his religious authenticity.
