The punishment separates Rees from a timeout against Indiana fever Friday night. Reese evaluated her eighth technical foul of the year against the Connecticut Suns on Wednesday.
According to WNBA rules, the eighth technical foul will automatically trigger a single game.

She backed down the comments and had apologized to the team after she beat Connecticut on Wednesday.
“Chicago Sky values the safety, respect and well-being of every player. We are committed to accountability so that our players can focus on playing basketball,” the team said in a statement. “This matter has been dealt with and addressed internally and we will move forward as a team.”

Reese, the seventh pick in the 2024 WNBA Draft, entered 14.7 points and the league’s best 12.6 rebounds on Saturday. She has participated in 30 games this season.
