Christine Brown Woolley immediately knew her husband Kody Brown had found his “soul mate”.
The 53-year-old, who documented her polygamy marriage in the TLC reality series “Sisters’ Wife”, shared her story in a new book, “Sister Wife: Memoirs of Faith, Family, and the Seeking of Freedom.” It reveals her strict Mormon growth, who decides to break away from her 25-year marriage and discovers love in a monogamous relationship.

“So many women asked me, ‘How did you do it? How did you know it was time to leave?’’ mother told Fox News digital numbers. “I think it’s the ideal way to explain what happened. I think this is a great time to focus on the past, make an agreement with what happened and shut up. ”

“It’s one thing to know that your roommate is having sex in the next bedroom,” she wrote. “It’s your husband, you can hear everything. Yes, we all married him. Yes, I know everything he did on the night he wasn’t with me. Yes, it shocked me how painful it was to hear it, especially when they sounded like they had a practical relationship, where they were, chatting and admiring each other.”

She also wrote: “We are all careful not to show feelings in front of other sister wives – no handheld or hobby terms – but at night I can hear that feeling.”
“It’s different in my bedroom.”
Kody legally married his first wife, Meri Brown, in 1990. Meri is the eldest of 25 siblings, Meri is Kody’s legal spouse, and in 1993 a spiritual marriage with Janelle Brown and Brown Woolley and 1994. In 2010, he attended the spiritual ceremony with his fourth wife, Robyn Brown. Four years later Cody divorces Merry And married Robin legally. A diverse family raised 18 children together.

“I realized he was in love with her before getting married,” she explained. “He was ready to see her, and he was so dizzy. He was so excited. I remember he loved her more now before getting married than with me when our marriage started.”
“And…they’ve had a longer honeymoon,” she said. “Our people were shortened. Just looking at them – bumping up. They’ll be in the conversation and their words start to become similar…I just realized, ‘This is what a soul mate looks like.'”

“Even Robin said Cody was her confidant.” “I never felt Cody was my soul mate–used…but I knew after they got married. I didn’t even know what the soul mate relationship was like. I never felt like I really had one.”

In the United States, it is illegal to marry more than one person or bigamy. Associated Press Report. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints abandoned polygamy in 1890 and strictly prohibited today. Brown considers himself a fundamentalist Mormon.
Brown Woolley said at the time that she saw plural marriage as a “higher appeal.” She also wants to follow in her parents’ footsteps to build a polygamous relationship.

“This is what I really believe God wants me [experience]She said it would make me a better person. I feel like our family will do it because of this…I am also very loyal to my family…I really believe that family is not doing well than me and it is more important if I am jealous or jealous or feel insecure. ”

“For me, I can learn to deal with those raw feelings and eventually I’ll be fine,” she said. “I believe Cody, I’ll be in a good place. I’ve been supporting my hope. When you stick to your hope, you still do your best. You still do your best.”
Brown Woolley’s marriage to Kody collapsed and they soared to fame. She claimed Kody turned down her time when she paid more attention to her other wives.

He allegedly told her: “When you try to be cute, I will be as cute as you.” As quoted in the memoir.

In the book, Brown Woolley claims that Kody later became a parent because he was immersed in his relationship with Robyn.
Cody did not come to the hospital when their 3-year-old failed. Instead, he and Robyn were “washing clothes” together, she claimed. Later, she expressed her desire to be closer to them, but he declared: “I’m not really interested in you.”

“Cody just wanted to marry Robin,” Brown Woolley wrote. “Ultimately, it’s OK. Drag us while pawning to keep the show going, money flows into his pot? Impossible.”

In the book, she also notes that on the camera, Cody said, “I wasn’t attracted to Christine physically.” His wife was “feared.”

“I remember looking at myself, ‘I don’t think I can do that anymore.’ “I just saw Cody really likes Robin, so much. They are completely different from what I have. She noted that realizing that her marriage was over was “such a wonderful day.”
“I’m standing on the balcony outside the bedroom. There’s this beautiful mountain. I’m looking at it and it’s like, ‘God, I’m just unhappy. I’m working hard. I want my kids to be happy, but I’m unhappy. I don’t think I can marry Cody.’
“God talks to us. I just remember saying to myself, ‘You don’t have to be unhappy. I want you to be happy. You leave. That’s when I realize I can leave.

“I’m not a good role model for my kids,” she noted. “I never forget the expression on their faces when I told them ‘everything is fine.’ They watched me lose my thoughts…my kids are not in a happy marriage.

In 2021, Brown Woolley left Kody. She once again said to her second husband, David Woolley, in 2023: “I do.” They have a monogamous relationship.
She said that all this makes sense.

“I remember thinking, ‘David is my soul mate. That’s how Robin and Cody have to feel each other. No wonder Cody never wanted to leave Robin. I never wanted to leave David, so I totally got it.'”

After that, Cody’s spiritual marriage to his first three wives ended. Meri, 54, and Janelle, 56, announced their division in 2022. Robyn, 46, remains his legal spouse.
Today, Brown Woolley lives in Utah and David. She still has a relationship with God but leaves fundamentalist Mormon faith behind.

Looking back, she said she would “do it again.”

“Having the people I have today, having the kids I have, and I’m going to do the whole thing again,” she said.
“I have incredible kids and I really like who I am today, that’s because I live in a diverse marriage. My strengths, my independence comes from a diverse marriage. I still have friends living in a living and for them, it works for me. [But] I will never live again. David and me? Of course not. We prefer monogamy than monogamy. ”
