Shooting reported at Wilmer-Hutchins High School in Dallas

Police conducted a shooting Tuesday afternoon at Wilmer-Hodges High School in Dallas, Texas.

A 17-year-old boy was shot in his leg. According to Fox 4 Dallas.

According to a statement from the Dallas Independent School District (ISD), the shooting occurred around 1:25 p.m.

“The security protocol has been implemented and we require everyone to avoid coming to campus,” the statement said.

According to the district, the unified plan will be shared soon.

Videos of the school on social media show many first responders, including police, firefighters and paramedics.

According to Fox 4, shooting in high school about a year ago prompted the use of metal detectors and removal of backpacks.

Dallas Police Department officials did not immediately confirm the report, digitizing the Fox News figures into the Dallas ISD.
