Lynn Hamilton, “Sanford and the Son” and the “Walton Man” died. She is 95 years old.

Hamilton died Thursday in Chicago, Illinois, for natural reasons, and the actress’ former propagandist Calvin Carson confirmed to Fox News’ numbers.

Carson also issued a statement on behalf of Hamilton’s family Instagram postshe pointed out that she died “while being surrounded by grandchildren, loved ones and caregivers.”

“We deeply appreciate and admire the extraordinary life of iconic actress Alzenia’Lynn’Hamilton-Jenkins, whose extraordinary legacy continues to elevate and inspire inspiration,” the statement reads. “Her outstanding career spans fifty years, leaving an indelible mark on the world of entertainment, inspiring audiences around the world through the work of her role models, stages, films and television actors.”

“Her past marks the end of an era, but her legacy will continue to inspire and elevate future generations,” the statement reads.

In addition to her repeated roles on “Sandford and Son” and “Walton,” Hamilton also made appearances on TV shows and soap operas including “Roots: The Next Generation”, “Golden Girl”, “Generations”, “Dangerous Woman”, “227” and “Practice”.

Hamilton was born on April 25, 1930 in Yazoo City, Mississippi, and grew up in Chicago Heights, Illinois. She graduated from the Goodman School of Drama Theatre and opened her career at the Community Theatre.

Hamilton then moved to New York, making her Broadway debut in 1959’s “Only in America.” She continued to play roles on Broadway, acting in the dramas Cool World, Hero’s Faces and Glory Records.

The actress performed for three years at the Shakespeare Festival in New York and became a member of President Kennedy’s Cultural Exchange Program. While working with the program, she toured around the world, performing in the dramas Miracle Worker and Skin of Teeth. Hamilton joined the Seattle Repertoire Theatre in 1966.

She made her debut in John Cassavetes’ improvised film Shadows. Hamilton continues to appear in TV series, including “Room 222”, “Mannix”, “Bill Cosby Show,” “Gunsmoke”, “Hawaii V-O” and “Starsky & Hutch”.

Hamilton made his first appearance in the seventh episode of the show in February 1972. Hamilton played Donna from 1972 to 1977.

The actress portrayed Walton’s neighbor Vidy Grant Foster in 1973-1981’s Walton. “Calge your enthusiasm,” “NYPD Blue”, “Charles Port” and “Judge Amy”. Hamilton played the final screen in the 2009 episode of Cold Case.

Hamilton also appeared in the movies Hang Hang, Leadbelly, Jesse Owens’ Story, Lady Singing the Blues, “Legal Eagle,” “Disappeared” and “beah: A Black Woman Talking.”

Carson’s statement noted: “During her outstanding career, Lynn has often collaborated with husband Frank S. Jenkins in a variety of dramatic works, including the famous drama Nobody, The Story of Burt Williams. Their partnership is a brilliant example of creativity, love and dedication.”

Hamilton died from 1964 to 2014 and married playwright and poet Jenkins.
